From The Chef

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Chef Mark and I joined Tabe BBQ early in 2011 taking over from Chef Todd. I have had a long career in the culinary world having traditional and formal traditional training. Traditional training in Las Vegas as I worked through the kitchen brigade and have worked in the finest hotels and casinos. I decided later in life as my passion and love of food still burned to further my education with formal training at Le Cordon Bleu, San Francisco.

I became fascinated with the gourmet food truck industry after studying the LA food truck scene and watched the Bay area as trucks came on. I came to San Diego to get involved and am having so much fun with this business. I look forward to the growth of Tabe BBQ and the food truck scene in San Diego, and the opportunities it gives me to grow as a chef and to showcase my new creations to an appreciative group of foodies.
